Durability of Goodyear air spring
Goodyear Air Spring 1B8-560, without internal rod, piston or sliding seal
In Goodyear's 1B8-560 actuator, there is no internal rod, piston or sliding seal like many traditional cylinders. The advantage in Goodyear's application is that dust or grit will corrode traditional cylinder seals. This gives Goodyear an advantage.
Goodyear air spring angle capability
If there is no U-clamp, the stroke through the arc may produce an angular movement of up to 30 degrees.
Goodyear air spring side load
In some cases, free-stroke actuators are not affected by side loads. This eliminates the possibility of rod bends, nicks and excessive seal wear that are common when using traditional cylinders.
Goodyear air spring 1B8-560 friction reduction
In the absence of a sliding seal, the Goodyear actuator 1B8-560 will not break away from friction.

The free-stroke actuator can be used with a variety of media (liquid or gas) (Please refer to the data sheet for acceptable media selection.)
Note:
• The restoring force is required to compress the air spring cushion to the minimum height. Usually achieved by applying external force
• The entire air spring cushion surface of the upper and lower plates must be used to absorb the force
• The air spring cushion can only move on the workpiece, or it must be equipped with a limit stop at the end of the stroke, otherwise the rubber material of the air spring cushion will be overloaded or cause internal damage
•Before removing the air spring cushion, the air pressure in it must be discharged.
• During the operation, the wall of the air spring cushion must not be in contact with other parts, otherwise the air spring cushion will be worn and damaged, and air leakage will occur.
