Why do We need "Semi-Assemblies"?
1. Adaptability: There are many types of trucks, and the structure and mounting point locations of frames and axles vary greatly. Providing "semi-assemblies" allows manufacturers or repair shops to use common airbags, upper covers, and piston core components, and then equip different mounting brackets and fastener packages according to specific models. This is more economical and flexible than producing completely different "full assemblies" for each possible installation method.
2. Repair and replacement: During repair, if the original bracket on the frame or axle is intact and only the airbag core part (usually including the piston and upper cover) needs to be replaced, then it is sufficient to purchase a "semi-assembly" and the original mounting brackets and bolts can be directly used. This is cheaper than replacing the entire assembly with brackets.
3. Design flexibility: For vehicle manufacturers or modification plants, using semi-assemblies allows them to freely choose the most suitable mounting bracket solution on their own frame/axle design.
