Product Function & Benefits
Truck cab air springs are typically installed between the cab floor and the chassis, serving as a crucial component of the cab suspension system and connected to the vehicle's air circuitry or independent air control system. Their primary function is to provide stable support to the cab and effectively isolate vibrations from the chassis and road surface during vehicle operation.
When a truck travels on uneven roads or encounters bumps or speed bumps, the impact from the chassis is first transmitted to the air springs. The compressed air inside the air springs absorbs and buffers this impact energy through compression and release, preventing vibrations from being directly transmitted to the cab, thus significantly reducing the shaking and impact felt by the driver.
When the vehicle load or driving conditions change, the cab air springs automatically maintain the cab's height and level by adjusting the internal air pressure. This not only improves cab stability but also prevents changes in posture from affecting the driver's visibility and handling experience.
Long-term use of cab air springs effectively reduces driver fatigue, improves driving comfort and safety, and reduces damage to the cab structure, electrical system, and interior components caused by vibration, extending the overall vehicle lifespan.
