How to Install Axle Air Springs

Step 1 :Have your new air spring ready
Step 2 :Deflate your air spring
• First stabilize your vehicle.
• Deflate the air spring and keep the air system and ignition fully off.
Step 3 :Loosen Pneumatic Valves
• We make sure the compressor remains off when the valve is released.
• Disconnect air connections and make sure valves and air lines are clean.
Step 4 :Loosen all screws
Step 5 :Preparations for installment of your new air spring
• Remove the damaged air spring.
• Clean the mating surfaces
• Keep air ducts closed to prevent dust from entering or dust.
Step 6 :Inspect all other air springs on your vehicle
• Inspect rubber parts for wear, embrittlement and cracks.
• Check metal parts for corrosion.
• Check plastic parts for capillary cracks.
• Check lubricants such as oil, diesel, brake fluid or coolant for possible contamination.
• Remove any foreign objects such as stones or dirt.
• Remove all fluids and check for sources of contamination.
Step 7 :Put your new air spring in place
Install new air springs between chassis and axle
• Screw the top plate onto the chassis first.
• Keep the air intake open.
Step 8 :Tighten your new air spring
Step 9 :Inflate your new air spring.
