Why can We Choose Aluminum Cover for Air Spring?
1. Lightweight
This is the core advantage of aluminum material. The density of aluminum is about 1/3 of that of steel (about 2.7 g/cm³ vs 7.8 g/cm³).
Advantages: Significantly reduce the unsprung mass. The smaller the unsprung mass, the faster and more sensitive the suspension system will react to road bumps. This can bring:

2. Excellent strength-to-weight ratio
Although the absolute strength of pure aluminum is not as good as that of high-strength steel, aluminum alloys can achieve very high strength levels through alloying (such as adding elements such as magnesium, silicon, zinc, etc.) and heat treatment (such as T6 state).

Complex shapes: It is easy to manufacture complex cover shapes by casting or forging to meet specific installation and functional requirements (such as integrated sensor interfaces, air passages, etc.).
Production efficiency: Good processing performance is conducive to improving production efficiency and reducing costs (especially in mass production).
5. Excellent corrosion resistance
A dense aluminum oxide protective film will naturally form on the surface of aluminum alloy. This film has good inertness and can effectively resist corrosion from the atmosphere, rain and road salt.
Advantages: As a suspension component, it is normal to be exposed to harsh chassis environments (water, mud, snow melting agents). Aluminum covers have longer service life and better appearance retention than ordinary steel, and usually do not require additional electroplating or painting anti-corrosion treatment (or only simple anodizing treatment), reducing maintenance requirements and long-term costs.
6. Good sealing fit
